Once I saw the new Dansko Beacon Hill collection online, I had to see in person. I’ve seriously lusted after the Rayne boot, the purple suede version no less, for at least two weeks:
But it seems that no one carries the purple version locally. Black and brown, yes, at Abbadabba’s, but no purple. Damnit, I covet the purple!!

I normally won’t buy a shoe without trying it on since I have such weird feet and a fixation on comfort. This time I’m rolling the dice, and it will hopefully work (the only other pair of shoes I’ve ordered without trying on first were also Danskos). I went online at Zappo’s yesterday afternoon and ordered my normal Dansko clog size (39, 38 in sandals). They have already shipped; I’m crossing fingers that they arrive before I leave for CCSC on Thursday.

Obsessions do make you a little nuts. I’m less prone to demand bargains on shoes than on anything else, but I paid what, to me, is a LOT of money for these. In purple, no less, instead of sensible black or brown. Who knows what the hell I am thinking…maybe that a girl’s gotta break out of the box once in a while?
