Surprise! I sold something!

tagged , , and

I had an email from PayPal this morning that I had received a payment.  Being inadequately caffeinated, I thought at first it was yet another scam.  But when I checked, I discovered that one of my handbound books had sold off of Etsy!

Then I went over to Mincot’s this afternoon to have lunch, return her pieces from the show, and  beat her computer into submission. I had my new boro pendants out on the table at the pho place for her to check out, so of course everyone else was curious.  That led to one of them selling to one of the staff there!

It just goes to show that you never know when you’ll end up with a sale!  Now I just need to get some more stuff out there, visible and available…

Today’s blogreading

tagged , and

I ran across this entry, with this quote, today as I was reading through the Ninth Wave Designs blog.

“The buying of more books than one can read is nothing less than the soul reaching towards infinity, and this passion is the only thing that raises us above the beast that perish.” - Alfred Edward Newton

Obviously there is another bibliophile out there who could be our twin. I also think Sarah, at least, would agree with their cat on the subject of reading and books. As for Donovan, well, maybe he’s inclined to agree with Pearl the dog, but I’m not sure he could put it quite so eruditely. I’m also gleaning some good ideas from reading through the site — let’s see what happens with them.
