Yet another nasty sucky gray dreary drippy disgusting day. This makes, what, five in a row? Eewwwww. Even my hair doesn’t like this. It doesn’t know whether to go limp or curly. The only saving grace is that it could be 20 degrees colder (OTOH if it was THIRTY degrees colder I wouldn’t be here because we’d be iced in 🙂 ).
I’m still not back to the art. The ONLY thing I did since Friday a week ago was print out a sheet of images to use in Ann-Marie’s book, and put one lousy coat (of six needed) of gel medium on one of those images to make it into a transfer. Luckily I have five days off coming up, and have every damn intention of using a good chunk of it on my artwork, at least to get Ann-Marie’s book finished up. I’ll probably play in my own book, too, just to try a few things out. I have 540 more inches to go to meet my goal, and a week to do it in. I better get bustin’ my butt.
On the bright side, The Love of My Life and I spent a good chunk of Saturday afternoon cleaning up my studio. I can actually WALK INTO IT now!!! We got the crappy furniture pieces out (as far as the living room, now to get them out of the house), moved my little work table, hung up the rest of the paper, and put a bunch of the assorted crap into boxes and containers, some of which still need to find a home. I decided I need (yeah, NEED) one more Iris Cart to sit under the work table to hold the tools and supplies I need at hand (one with the two deep drawers, not just shallow drawers). That will free up some of the other drawers in the other carts for miscellaneous stuff.
Never mind that I could actually clean out some of the crap and make more space. Ha!!! ME, get rid of stuff to play with?
Damnit, I’m hungry. It’s an hour until I can go get any lunch because I’m in class and my students are taking a test. The snack bar is having their annual Thanksgiving Lunch today (I think it’s free) so I get a free lunch (assuming it’s edible). One packet of instant oatmeal and lots of coffee just weren’t enough this morning. ::sounds of growly stomach::
Okay, I’m babbling. I think I’ll read a bit.
