Gas Wars Part 3

On the way home, BP and Chevron are still out, as was the Chevron at Roswell and Dalrymple. Where there was gas, it was running $3.15 – $3.19. Sounds like that may be the stable price point for the time being. According to, the average price right now is about $3.10. That’s a big ouch, when you consider that a month ago the average price was $2.15, which translates to a nearly 50% increase in the price of a gallon.

I know that in “real” dollars it’s been worse in the past. Still, that almost 50% increase is something of a shocker.
